Facebook has introduced a new profile layout called ‘Timeline’ where you can put your own image as header banner image and also the status feeds will be in the grid layout. Now this feature is only opened for developers. To get the new profile, login to Facebook and follow the given steps…
Step 1: open http://www.facebook.com/developers in your browser.
Step 2: Click ‘Allow’ in the given Request for Permission.
Step 3: Click ‘Create New App’ on the top-right corner of the page.
Step 4: Give any valid ‘App Display Name’ and a available ‘App Namespace’
Step 5: Do the Human verification check and click ‘Submit’
Step 6: Click on the ‘Open Graph’ menu item in the left sidebar.
Step 7: Give any valid ‘action’ and ‘object’ in the given textbox and click ‘Get Started’
Step 8: Click ‘Save Changes and Next’ in the bottom of the page.
Step 9: Click ‘Save and Finish’ in the bottom of the page.
Step 10: If you get a page like bellow, you are ready to go…
Step 11: Open http://www.facebook.com in your browser. You will see a prompt to get ‘Timeline’. Click on ‘Get It Now’ and open your profile.
Step 12: Click ‘Publish Now’ when you see a prompt like this.
Step 13: Click ‘Add a Cover’ given right side of the header and Upload a banner image for your profile.
Step 14: Then reposition the banner image by dragging the image and click ‘Save Changes’.
That’s it. Your new Facebook profile timeline is live now…
